Direct Map & Mods Download
The current server is non-modded, so you don't need to install extra files unless you have trouble auto-downloading the map. If you experience join issues or timeouts, download the custom map directly below.
The map normally downloads automatically. Only use this if errors occur. To install: Open Steam, right-click on 7 Days to Die, select "Browse Local Files" to open your game folder, then place the downloaded map into your GeneratedWorlds folder.

Follow these steps to install a mod:

Prepare a New Game Folder:
Navigate to your 7 Days to Die game directory. Right-click the folder and copy it. Create a new folder (for example,
C:\Darkness Falls\7 Days To DieorC:\The Wasteland\7 Days To Die) and paste the copied contents. If a "Mods" folder does not exist in this new directory, create one; if it does, empty it. -
Extract the Mod Archive:
Unzip or extract the downloaded mod archive (either darknessfalls.zip or wasteland.zip) into the "Mods" folder of your new game directory.

Create a Shortcut:
Locate the game's executable file (
7DaysToDie.exe) in your new directory, right-click it, and create a desktop shortcut. Rename the shortcut to "Darkness Falls" or "The Wasteland" for clarity. -
Launch and Play:
Use the new shortcut to launch your modded game. You will now have separate shortcuts for the regular server and your modded version.

The Refuge Server Rules (PvE)

No Player Killing (PvP is Prohibited):
Engaging in hostile actions toward other players, including killing, is strictly forbidden on our PvE server.

Respect Other Players' Property:
BANNABLE OFFENSES
Do not destroy or damage other players' bases, structures, or crafted items. Do not steal and be sure to lock your vehicles, doors, and boxes. Raiding and griefing are not permitted. -
Base Placement Rules:
Limit yourself to one primary home and one small outpost. Do not build within 100 blocks of any trader. You may build in pre-existing houses (Tier 3 or lower). Notify us on Discord if you move bases so we can help with cleanup. Always be mindful of blocking roads, bridges, or resource areas.

No Griefing or Harassment:
Do not engage in disruptive activities such as trapping, spamming, or obstructing resources. Maintain respect in all chat and voice communications.

Resource Etiquette:
Avoid overharvesting shared resources near spawn or towns. When mining deeply, avoid working adjacent to another player's base. Mark or cover your mining area to prevent accidents.

Zombie Luring and Horde Etiquette:
Do not intentionally lure zombies to another player's area. Handle zombie hordes responsibly to avoid inconveniencing others.

Keep the World Tidy:
Clean up after yourself by removing unused or abandoned structures. Avoid leaving random blocks or scaffolding in the world unnecessarily.
Ingame Commands
- /starterkit - Redeem your starter kit when first joining the server (usable once).
- /balance - Check your Refuge Coins balance.
- /gold - Check your Refuge Gold balance.
- /shop - Use the in-game shop browser (recommended: shop.refuge7days.org).
- /settele 'name' - Set a teleport location (e.g., /settele base). Costs 15 Refuge Coins; up to 3 teleports (more for donators).
- /tp 'name' - Teleport to the specified base (e.g., /tp base). Costs 1 Refuge Coin, has a cooldown, and won't work near zombies.
- /removetele 'name' - Delete a teleport location.
- /friend 'playername' - Teleport to another player (requires full name and permission).
- /listtp - List your teleport locations.
- /seen 'name' - Check when a player was last online (e.g., /seen picard).
- /who - List players in your current area.
- /pay 'playername' - Transfer Refuge Coins to another player.
- /vehicle - Teleport a lost owned vehicle (e.g., /l4x4, /gyro, /bike, /motorcycle, /bicycle).
